BOXCAR BETHY
#Local 210
Position: Blocker
In some tales, Boxcar Bethy is a beast who puts her feet on the furniture and devours the contents of local breweries. In others, she is depicted as a cunning sot who skates from land to land in search of a roller rink, a beer, and a bed. In all cases, she is an earnest drunk who litters her path with broken men and broken bottles.
It is thus that the legend of Boxcar Bethy has reached epic proportions, having been called "an artful masterwork," (Newsweek) "filled with untouchable colours," (Washington Post), and "capable of winning any contest, even against Beezlebub Himself" (Boxcar Bethy Weekly Reader).
Although she has lived in isolation too long for the general populace to remember that she is much more woman than legend, Boxcar Bethy has recently strapped on her wheels again. In what critics are hailing as "The Day the Earth Began to Skate," Bethy promised her legions of fans and, verily, the world itself that there are many more legends yet to tell.
